OVERVIEW

 

Leadership is the foundation of every successful venture, Businesses succeed or fail according to the quality of leadership demonstrated by the leaders.. Leadership is about leading people to achieve a vision or a clearly defined goal. Whatever the cadre of leadership or setting, a leader will need to steer the boat  to its destination. The leader is leading with the followers for success. A vision requires a strong and effective leader to realise it. At whatever level of leadership, the Leader must demonstrate his or her ability to lead successfully. This course is designed to bring out the leader in you and help you develop the vital leadership skills you will need to lead successfully at any level of leadership.

Module 1

LEADERSHIP

In this very important module, you will learn what leadership is. The purpose of leadership. The Leadership and Management debate. The burden of leadership.

The Science of Vision, Strategy and Execution. Cadres of Leadership and Leadership in different settings. We will explore;

At the end of this module, you will a broad knowledge and understanding of Leadership in its many ramifications and settings and apply it correctly in your sphere of leading.

 

MODULE 2

LEADERSHIP THEORIES AND MODELS

This module will look at different leadership theories and models and explore them in depth, it will look at the advantages and disadvantages of each model using selected case studies from different leadership settings, looking at their successes and failures and learn from them. 

 

At the end of this module, you will be exposed to a wide range of leadership theories and models and select from the pool the best model suitable to your vision and goals,

 

MODULE 3

THE LEADER

This module will look at the Personality, Character, Health and Fitness of the Leader, his Mind set, Belief system, Capacity, Self Image, Self Esteem, Self Concept, Self Confidence, personal habits, personal leadership skills set, knowledge and understanding .

 

At the end of this module, you will know your strengths and weaknesses and how to improve your leadership skills to lead effectively.

 

MODULE 4

HOW TO LEAD - LEADERSHIP IN ACTION

In this module, you will learn how to lead, a group of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 100 and bigger sizes. Leadership is about leading people to achieve a goal. You must understand this early enough and know how to influence your team to create harmony and cooperation to achieve your goals.

 

At the end of module, you will gain an understanding of how to lead effectively.

 

MODULE 5

TEAM DYNAMICS

In this module, you will learn how to form a strong relationship with members of your team. You will learn the Science of Relationship  and Communication to relate most efficiently with your team members. You will learn how to form a healthy bond with your team members to work in unison and do and achieve more quickly.

 

At the end of this module, you will gain the skills needed to lead a team effectively  and how to fit into a team comprising of different personality types.

 

MODULE  6

THE ART OF INNOVATION AND INTERVENTION

This module will address a critical concept called Innovation, which is the ability to see beyond where you are and project a vision for the future that is able to absorb unforeseeable shocks and inevitable changes. This is a critical aspect of leadership that requires critical and constructive thinking. Change is inevitable and can happen at any time and create very challenging situations.

 

At the end of this module,,you will gain tools, skills and knowledge that will help you develop critical thinking to take action that will position your business to withstand any unforeseeable  critical change and scale through successfully.

 

MODULE 7

THE SCIENCE OF DECISION

In this module, you will learn the Science of Decision. Leadership is about making decisions, sometimes very difficult decisions. Here you will learn how to think and make decision very fast. A slightest delay in making decision can lead to colossal failure. Moments can arise for huge exploit and be lost if not captured by a quick and pragmatic action.

 

At the end of this module, you will gain insight into the power of decision and how to harness it to lead effectively.

 

MODULE 8

ATMOSPHERE FOR LEADERSHIP

In this module, you will learn how to create an enabling environment to lead. Every space has an aura, an energy which can be friendly or hostile, inviting or repelling, tensed or relaxed. To lead effectively and influence your team, you must create a good environment, energy and synergy for motivation and high productivity.

 

At the end of this module, you will learn how to create a healthy atmosphere to lead and eliminate cluster phobic feelings and toxic atmosphere.

 

MODULE 9

WISDOM

In this module, we will look at the role wisdom plays in leading people at any cadre of leadership and setting. All leadership models and styles must be executed with wisdom. Without wisdom, no leadership model or style can be successfully executed. What is wisdom? Wisdom simply means practical knowledge, common sense. Pragmatism and robustness are products of wisdom.

 

At the end of this module, you will learn how to get wisdom and apply it to lead successfully.

 

MODULE 10 

 MASTERY

In this module, you will learn how to gain mastery in leadership by constantly applying your self to continuous learning and training through personal development. There is never an end to learning  and personal development and self improvement. The more knowledge you acquire, the more understanding you gain and the better you become to lead.

 

At the end of this module, you will know how to keep improving yourself and become a Master in your work and trade,

Programme delivery and Methodology

 

This course will be taught physically in a class room style. Each lesson lasts for 3 hours. This will be mixed with workshops and seminars.. Lectures will hold once every week in the evenings from 7pm to 10pm on Fridays.
